A Place to Turn has been serving the Metrowest community since the 1970's. The food pantry was created by a group of local residents troubled by poverty in the area and the lack of emergency assistance. To meet this pressing need, A Place to Turn was established in the old parish house at the Hartford Street Presbyterian Church in Natick.
Through the years, A Place to Turn has provided emergency groceries and clothing to individuals and families in need. We continue this important mission today.
A Place to Turn is a non-profit organization. Our board of directors widely represents the community. Funding and support come from many sources, including the United Way of Tri County, Project Bread, local businesses, schools, religious organizations and many individuals. We are able to provide assistance through the efforts of our dedicated volunteers, who assist clients, distribute food, stock shelves, sort and hang clothes, and perform other tasks as needed.
