Community Food Program

The Community Food Program increases access to food for families and individuals who cannot come to the pantry. In close collaboration with community partners, we bringing healthy food to people in ways that make it easy for them.

Accommodations for Older Adults

Transportation is often a barrier for older adults in need of food assistance. We are working with councils on aging and other agencies who serve older adults, to offer dedicated times during or just after regular distribution hours. They provide the transportation, and we provide the healthy food.

Agency Pick-ups

Staff or volunteers from social service agencies can pick up groceries for families or individuals who use their services. Families can choose the foods they want by completing a form indicating their preferences.

Developing Initiatives

Haley Jeansonne, our Community Food Program Coordinator is working with community partners, including those facing food access barriers, to develop and test out different food distribution methods.

Mobile Markets

We bring fresh foods to housing complexes and neighborhoods where there is a need. This eliminates transportation barriers and makes the pantry more accessible.

Adding to Existing Deliveries

There are trusted community partners already delivering and abundance of food to those who need it. We are working with them to add fresh produce to what they offer to families. In this way, we help families access as much fresh food as possible in the most efficient ways.

If your organization would like to participate in agency pick-ups, provide transportation for families or individuals or work together to find new ways to increase access to healthy food, reach out to Haley Jeansonne,Program Coordinator.
