Nonprofit Partners and Resources

“At Hope and Comfort, we believe that everyone has the right to feel healthy, confident, and comfortable in his or her own body. We found that personal care products are heavily requested by pantry clients who are unable to get these essential items elsewhere.”

Through the Stock the Shelves program, Hope and Comfort increases access to basic and critical personal care products in the Greater Boston community by placing these products on food pantry shelves. Every month, Hope and Comfort distributes toiletries including soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste and toothbrushes to A Place To Turn.

Last year, A Place To Turn distributed 9,000 extra personal care items due to the partnership with Hope and Comfort.

Dignity Matters is a local nonprofit organization that collects, sorts, and supplies feminine hygiene products, bras, and underpants to women and girls who are in need, in order to help them stay healthy, regain self-confidence, and live with basic dignity.

Through Dignity Matters’ newest program, “Dignity in the Community,” the organization now supports local food pantries. Dignity Matters is delighted to extend its program to A Place to Turn in Natick.

Cocotree Kids is a nonprofit with a mission to improve underwear insecurity for at-risk youth in Massachusetts. By providing new underwear to every child in need for each day of the week, Cocotree Kids empowers that child’s sense of dignity and confidence, allowing them to focus on education and encouraging their path to success.

Through strategic partnerships with local nonprofits, food pantries, homeless shelters and social service organizations, Cocotree Kids distributes new underwear each month to underserved children across Massachusetts.

Spoonfuls (formerly Lovin’ Spoonfuls) was launched in 2010. Their mission statement is to facilitate the recovery and distribution of healthy, fresh food that would otherwise be discarded. Their team works to efficiently deliver this food directly to those organizations where it can have the greatest impact and to address the health, environmental, and economic effects of wasted food on our community.

From a single food recovery route in Greater Boston, their fleet has expanded to meet the needs of communities across the state. Today, Spoonfuls is the largest food recovery operation of its kind in New England.

With a proven, scalable model and a focus on sourcing fresh, nutritious food, they’ve distributed over 30 million pounds of food to date. That’s enough to create over 24 million meals.
